What is Flow Well?

Breath and movement working together in a continuous, fluid sequence.

Flow Well is an energetic Vinyasa-style class where breath and movement combine to fill you with positive energy. It builds strength, improves flexibility, and cultivates mindfulness through energising flows.

Flow Well is a great choice if you are looking for a more active yoga practice. Each class guides you through a series of asanas with a strong focus on breath and an emphasis on movement meditation.

Every Flow Well class at Be Well Hawthorn is capped at 20 people, so that every student receives genuine personal attention throughout the session.

What is Restore Well?

A slow, meditative practice designed to help you slow down, unwind, and recover.

Restore Well is a relaxing session of stretching and breathing. This Yin yoga practice targets the deep connective tissues, including fascia, ligaments, and joints. Poses are held for extended periods to improve flexibility, increase joint mobility, and calm the nervous system.

Restore Well is the perfect complement to more active movement practices and is especially popular with people looking to reduce stress and anxiety. A wonderful way to end your day.

Classes are capped at 20 people, ensuring a calm, intimate environment where your instructor can give you genuine personal attention.

Small classes. Expert eyes on every movement.

What is Chair Yoga?

Improve balance and build core strength.

Chair Yoga is a gentle yet powerful seated class that builds stability, strengthens your centre, and leaves you feeling grounded. Through gentle stretches, soft twists, and breathing exercises, you’ll improve circulation, ease stress, and build flexibility, all from the support of a chair.

It’s one of the most accessible and rewarding classes we offer, whether you’re brand new to yoga, easing back in after a break, or simply prefer a slower pace. You don’t need to be flexible to take part,  just bring a flexible mind.

Capped at 14 people, it’s one of our most intimate and attentive sessions.

How does Be Well yoga differ from other studios?

Frequently asked questions

Expect a warm, welcoming environment where the focus is on breath, movement, and body awareness. Our instructors guide you through each pose, offer modifications where needed, and make sure you feel comfortable throughout. We meet you where you are, whatever your starting point.

Absolutely. Our instructors are experienced at teaching both beginners and seasoned practitioners within the same class. Modifications are always available, and nobody is expected to do anything their body is not ready for. If you are unsure where to start, Chair Yoga or Restore Well are a gentle and welcoming entry point.

All three of our classes are beginner friendly. Chair Yoga, capped at 14 people, is a wonderful entry point for those with limited mobility or injuries. Restore Well suits anyone looking for a calm, gentle introduction to yoga. Flow Well is ideal for beginners who want something more dynamic. Our instructors can help you find the right fit.

Yes. Yoga is particularly well suited to older adults because it is low-impact and easily adapted to individual needs. Our Chair Yoga class, capped at 14 people, is specifically designed with accessibility in mind, improving stability and core strength without any getting up and down from the floor. Restore Well supports joint health, flexibility, and nervous system recovery. Both are popular choices for people over 60 at Be Well Hawthorn.

Most people notice meaningful improvements attending two to three classes per week. Even one class a week can have a positive effect on flexibility, stress levels, and body awareness over time.

Yes. Yoga, particularly Yin and restorative styles, is widely recognised for its ability to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. Our Restore Well class is especially popular with people looking to slow down, breathe deeply, and reset.

Our instructors offer hands-on guidance, clear verbal cues, and personalised modifications throughout every class. Because we keep class sizes small, your instructor can give you real attention rather than a one-size-fits-all experience. We are committed to making yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone who walks through our door.

Comfortable, stretchy activewear works well. Yoga is practised barefoot so no special footwear is required. We recommend bringing a water bottle.
