Our current Senior Clinical Psychologist (Dr Kate O’Brien) is going on maternity leave in August 2024. We are seeking another like-minded psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team of practitioners on an ongoing basis.

If you are passionate about helping clients, want to succeed in a private practice setting, and looking to build your caseload and referral sources, we would love to hear from you.

What we offer

We provide the venue, marketing and administrative support.

The consulting room is beautifully appointed, private, adjacent to 85 free car parks and is a 3 minute walk from Hawthorn station, trams and cafes.

There is a broad source of future clients. We will promote you and your services to our members and mailing list (1,200+), and in paid social media (at our cost). We are getting known as a point for referrals by local GP practices. We will also assist you in your efforts to market your services.

We provide access to Power Diary and a HICAPS terminal, for taking payments, and you can process Medicare rebates through Power Diary. Power Diary also includes a platform for Telehealth Services, which you can use at no additional cost. The software is incredibly streamlined and you will have access to our psychology specific templates to further help with the administrative tasks required for the role (e.g. GP letters templates, case notes etc.).

We also have an online system for client appointment bookings, integrated into our website, so clients can manage appointments themselves.

Arrangements

We operate on a competitive revenue-share arrangement, rather than room-rent. This avoids
you having to pay rent for the room when you are not using it, and directly ties your
remuneration to workflow.

Essential Requirements for Candidates

● A psychologist with a Masters or Doctorate would be preferred
● Professional and public indemnity insurance
● Full registration with AHPRA
● Eligible to provide services under Medicare.
● An ABN or be eligible to get one
● Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
● Experience working within a previous private practice setting is desirable
