Why Your Bones Matter
Strong bones. Strong life.
-
The Challenge
After the age of 30, bone density and muscle volume naturally decline. Without intervention, this can lead to increased risk of fractures, falls, and loss of independence.
-
The Solution
Targeted strength training can slow, stop, and even reverse this process. Research shows that the right combination of load and impact, performed safely, builds bone mass, muscle strength, and balance.
-
The Benefits
Strong bones don't just hold you up — they set you free. Beyond the physical improvements, our participants experience something deeper: a renewed trust in their body and a profound shift in how they carry themselves through the world.
What our participants notice: more energy, better posture, greater confidence in how they move, and a body that feels like theirs again.
Rebuild trust in your body and discover the confidence to move with ease and strength.
How the Bone Vitality Program works
A step-by-step path to strength, confidence, and bone health.
Bone Vitality Assessment
Your Starting Point
Your physio will assess your strength, mobility, and any injuries or concerns. If you're good to go, they'll develop a personal plan for you. If the program isn't right for you, they'll recommend alternatives based on your current needs and capacities. Either way, you'll start with clarity and confidence.
Personal Strength Training

Beyond the Program
You’ll have the skills to maintain strong bones and muscles for life. Many clients continue in Bone Strength Classes for ongoing support, while others train independently—at Be Well, at home, or outdoors.
Your Questions, Answered
I’ve never lifted weights before. Is it safe for me?
The program begins with a personal 1-on-1 assessment and personal Strength Training session where a physiotherapist will teach you the correct techniques before you join a class. Classes are small and supervised by a physiotherapist to ensure you are lifting safely.
I have an existing injury. Can I still join?
Your initial Bone Vitality assessment will identify any limitations. If the isn’t the right fit at the moment, your physiotherapist will recommend alternative options.
What kind of exercises will we be doing?
We focus on "progressive resistance training"—evidence-based movements proven to stimulate bone density. This includes functional movements like squats, deadlifts, lunges, and shoulder presses. Every exercise is scaled to your current ability level.
Can I claim this on my private health insurance?
The program is led by qualified physiotherapists. Many private health funds provide rebates for physiotherapy appointments and physiotherapist-led group exercise classes. We recommend checking with your specific fund regarding your level of cover.
What happens if I miss a class?
We understand that life gets in the way. Our schedule is flexible, allowing you to reschedule your classes as needed so you don't miss out.
Do I have to lock into a contract?
No. There are no lock-in contracts, and you can cancel anytime. You can also choose to pay for casual classes or a class pack if you prefer not to commit to the full program upfront.
