Be Well

We all want to
live a long life,
but none of us
want to get old

His heart attack didn’t kill him - but it should have

David was:
overweight,
highly stressed,
sleep-deprived,
sedentary,
and a smoker.

So when his heart attack struck we were shocked and upset, but not surprised.

Our quest for good health

After David got out of hospital with a stent in his chest – we knew things had to change.

We used to be fit when we were younger, and then intermittently. But too much food (good and bad), alcohol, not enough exercise, along with life stage changes – menopause! – and work stress were slowly taking their toll.

So we shook up our lives, started getting active, and became much healthier.

The problem was – it took so much time, effort and money.

We went to pilates over here, gyms over there, sauna over here, yoga over there, the odd health retreat and spa, and joined meditation groups.

We spent years researching in our quest to understand the science of how to age well. We discovered ageing is not inevitable, in fact just the opposite. You can age well if you know what and how to do it.

Enter Be Well

We began to imagine a single destination where we were guided on ways to extend our healthspan and lifespan. A place which had the equipment, facilities and services we needed to enable us to gain, and then sustain, excellent health and wellbeing.

We couldn’t find anything like that – so we have created it for ourselves and others over 40 who want to avoid spending the second half of their life with niggling, mounting health issues and going downhill slowly, and often, painfully.

Our mission at Be Well is to change the way people age with an evidence-based, personalised approach to maximising health and wellbeing so you can live younger longer.

It starts with formulating your personalised Be Well Plan with our expert team. To support you we invite you to make full use of the equipment, facilities and services provided at Be Well.

As Confucius reminds us, “It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you don’t stop.”

Our Philosophy

We are passionate about taking the whole view: body, mind and spirit. This holistic approach underpins our continuing journey of health and wellbeing, and forms the foundation of Be Well.

We all know that family and community are core to good health. We are thrilled our two sons and daughter have all been part of the journey to Be Well. We want them to know and see that it’s never too late for a second start.

We want Be Well to be part of our community, where we meet and connect with like-minded people and win back the energy and vitality to truly live our lives.

We look forward to welcoming you. Be well.
